Bennie and Pat Blunt
After visiting in the South Pacific, Bennie and Pat Blunt sensed a new direction of the Spirit concerning their future. With much prayer, the leading of the Lord, and their October 1989 appointment as UPCI missionaries, he resigned the church he had founded in Wentzville, Missouri. They arrived in Fiji in September 1992 where they taught in the Bible school while he also pastored the Bible school church. Blunt is the area coordinator for American Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa; the field superintendent for American Samoa and Samoa; and the general superintendent of the UPC of Tonga. In December 1994 the Blunts transferred to Tonga and established a Bible school there in 1995. The Blunts returned to the field in November 2003 following their second furlough. Now living in Pago Pago, American Samoa, they officially opened Acts II Bible College in February 2004 with 27 students.
